To see all of my work that is explained below, take a look at my Flickr account, in the Art section, here.
Drawing
I think I’ve been drawing since I could crawl. I’ve saved many drawings over the years, some ok, some great, and some that even surprise me (did I really do that?). Generally I look at something when I draw, like a comic book or something similar; I have yet to hone the talent of drawing real things, especially people.
Painting
I started painting in late ‘94 with acrylics, and I added oils a year later. The frizzy-haired Bob Ross seen on PBS was my teacher. The first painting I did using his style is still what I consider one of my best. It hangs in my mother’s home, her ‘95 Mother’s Day gift. I have many unfinished paintings that I became too frustrated with; the ones I do finish usually end up as gifts (all both of them). The only painting I’ve finished and kept was of a lightning storm.
Photography
Photography is the latest art form I’m delving into. I have a great 35mm camera that lets me experiment with all sorts of manual settings. Unfortunately, scanning my photos to be viewable online is a pain in the neck, so there is very little to see right now.
