Atheistic scientists claim they don’t believe in God because there is no evidence for His existence.
But has anyone ever noticed that many of these same scientists have no problem believing in aliens from other planets, despite there being no evidence for them either? Seems like faith to me.
Just asking an honest question.

Ah, but there is a statistical probability of life on other planets! *lol* If the numbers suggest it it must be so!
Yeah, heard that one before.
Yet they are ABSOLUTELY sure there is ZERO probability of God. Ridiculous.
The double standard is so obvious. With aliens and evolution, statistical probability is the equivalent of proof- but with God and Christ you need empirical evidence. *eye roll*
I don’t believe in aliens with a freudian sexual trauma with us. But well, there is a chance of life in other planets, as there is a chance of a god, or gods to exist. But then again, all belief is always hypocritical and double faced. We are all humans, there is the prove of it.
If anyone can decipher Farthel’s comment please do so with my blessing.
I think Farthel was trying to say that belief in just about anything requires choosing to believe in one thing over something else with almost equal evidence. For example, I might say I believe Brand A is superior to Brand B, but there’s probably evidence for each and no hard-and-fast, empirical answer could exist. To say “I believe in this” is to say “I believe this possibility is true while these other, equally possible ones are false”, which is not, in a pure sense, logical. But hey, thats belief. And it’s good we have it, or else we’d never accomplish anything until we could prove ABSOLUTELY what the correct course of action is.
Or I could be totally wrong, Farthel, in which case, sorry.
And I have to say, as a scientifically inclined person myself, the following: The science *seems* to suggest that life-making is, chemically speaking, not so tough, so it’s likely life of some kind (though probably not intelligent life) exists somewhere besides here. But maybe not. We wont know till we find it. As for God, or any one interpretation of the idea of Gods, I remain agnostic. I agree that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of evidence for it, but any good scientist aught to know that “absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” I’ve always thought atheism was sort of unscientific. Really, it’s a lifestyle choice and belief structure on par on any other religion. *shrug* But I don’t judge.
